What is an APFC Panel?
An Automatic Power Factor Correction Panel is an electrical control panel that uses microprocessor-based relay logic to monitor the power factor in real time and switch capacitor banks automatically as per load requirements. It improves the power factor to near unity (0.99–1.0), thereby minimizing apparent power drawn, less equipment & cable heating and reducing electricity bills.
